Panasonic “will need to build" about four more factories to achieve a sharp boost in its battery capacity, according to CTO Shoichiro Watanabe.

GM will loan E25 $85 million to partially fund the construction of a new battery-grade manganese sulfate processing facility located in Louisiana.

KOBC will be in charge of securing funding for the centers while CJ Logistics will be responsible for operating the facilities.

Employees claim that more than 400 jobs will be sent abroad to Mexico and China where the company currently houses manufacturing facilities. 

Following the opening of this facility, Żabka’s logistics network now consists of eight logistics centers as well as 19 transshipment terminals.

The money will be awarded via the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program to BlueOval SK, a new joint business venture established by Ford and SK On.
